On Sunday, September 20, at approximately 2:48 A.M, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting incident at 32300 110th AVE. S.E. in Mentor. When deputies arrived, the male victim, identified as Shawn Alan Qualley, 55, was taken to Altru in Grand Forks by ambulance for his injuries.
The suspect, identified as Leslie Manford Anderson, 79, was taken into custody without incident and transported to Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston.
This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details will be released at this time.
Assisting agencies include County EMS, White Earth Police Department, Clearwater County Sheriff’s Department and MN State Patrol.
