MINNESOTA REPORTS 1,810 NEW COVID CASES AND 31 DEATHS, POLK COUNTY HAS 26 NEW CASES AND 1 DEATH

The Minnesota Department of Health released the COVID-19 numbers for today and the state reported 1,810 cases with 31 deaths. 3 deaths were reported in northwest Minnesota. 2 in Beltrami County and 1 in Polk County. Polk County reported 26 new cases with seven probable, Roseau County had 12, Marshall County had 5 with one probable, Red Lake County had 4 with three probable, Mahnomen County had 3 with one probable, Norman County had 3 with two probable, and Pennington County had 1 with eight probable.

Data is for cases that were tested and returned positive. All data is preliminary and may change as cases are investigated. Many data points are collected during case interviews. Positive PCR test results are considered confirmed cases. Positive antigen test results are considered probable cases.

All probable cases get the same public health follow up and recommendations as cases confirmed by PCR tests.
