MINNESOTA REPORTS 2,868 NEW COVID CASES AND 29 DEATHS, POLK COUNTY HAS 6 NEW CASES

The Minnesota Department of Health released the COVID-19 numbers for today and the state reported 2,868 cases with 29 deaths. 1 death was reported in northwest Minnesota, in Roseau County. Polk County reported 6 new cases with three probable, Roseau County had 14, Mahnomen County had 10 with one probable, Marshall County had 4 with five probable, Pennington County had 3 with three probable, Norman County had 2 with four probable, and Red Lake County had 1 with one probable.

Data is for cases that were tested and returned positive. All data is preliminary and may change as cases are investigated. Many data points are collected during case interviews. Positive PCR test results are considered confirmed cases. Positive antigen test results are considered probable cases.

All probable cases get the same public health follow up and recommendations as cases confirmed by PCR tests.
