MINNESOTA REPORTS 2,919 NEW COVID CASES AND 25 DEATHS, POLK COUNTY HAS 10 NEW CASES

The Minnesota Department of Health released the COVID-19 numbers for today and the state reported 2,919 cases with 25 deaths. 2 deaths were reported in northwest Minnesota, 1 in Pennington County, and 1 in Red Lake County. Polk County reported 10 new cases with nine probable, Roseau County had 19, Pennington County had 6 with five probable, Marshall County had 6 with one probable, Mahnomen County had 5 with two probable, Norman County had 2 with two probable, and Red Lake County had 2.

Positive PCR test results are considered confirmed cases. Positive antigen test results are considered probable cases.

All probable cases get the same public health follow up and recommendations as cases confirmed by PCR tests.
