MISS CROOKSTON PAGEANT TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, AUGUST 12

Five young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Crookston 2024 on Monday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the Crookston High School Auditorium. This year’s theme for the pageant is “Always Find Your Way Back Home.”

The five contestants are – 
Carley Knutson is the daughter of Tracey and Justin Knutson. Her sponsor is Harbott, Knutson, Larson, and Holton Law Office, and her talent is gymnastics.
Makenna Kopecky is the daughter of Mike and April Kopecky. Her sponsor is the Benedictine Living Community of Crookston, and her talent is piano.
Mackenzie Funk is the daughter of Curtis and Kristin Funk. Her sponsor is American Federal Bank, and her talent is dancing.
Kaylie Clauson is the daughter of Rich and Carrie Clauson. Her sponsor is Widseth, and her talent is singing/piano.
Emily Bowman is the daughter of Sunny and Dave Bowman. Her sponsor is Hair Connexion, and her talent is a chemistry experiment.

Pageant Director Jean Ann Bienek said the girls have been great. “Things are going great. We have five very talented and beautiful young ladies, and it has been a lot of fun. I think they are having a great time, too, and that has been fun to see,” said Bienek. “Myself and the committee agree that it is so fun to watch from the first day to the last day.”

Tickets go on sale Thursday (August 7) at Crookston Floral, and they will also sell tickets on Friday and Monday. Tickets are $10, and they will also be sold at the door on Monday night. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
