Candidate filing for Crookston Mayor and Crookston City Council continued on Tuesday.
CROOKSTON MAYOR –
No candidates filed to run for mayor on Tuesday. So far, former City Council member Kristie Jerde, current City Council At-Large member and vice-mayor Morgan Hibma, Bishop Jensen, and Dave Rendon are the ones who have filed to run for mayor.
CITY COUNCIL WARD 2 –
No candidates filed to run for City Council Ward 2 on Tuesday. Matt Rosu is the only candidate to file for Ward 2.
CITY COUNCIL WARD 4 –
No candidates filed to run for City Council Ward 4 on Tuesday. So far, current Crookston City Councilman in Ward 4, Don Cavalier, has filed to run for re-election.
CITY COUNCIL AT-LARGE –
No candidates filed to run for the At-Large City Council seat on Tuesday. Wendy Ault is the only candidate who has filed, as she will run for re-election in her At-Large seat on the council.
CITY COUNCIL WARD 6 –
Nobody has filed for City Council in Ward 6 as of Tuesday.
Filing closes next Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Those interested in filing for Crookston Mayor and the four city council openings can file at Crookston City Hall (124 North Broadway) with a filing fee of $2. Candidates who file may withdraw from the election by 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
The primary election is August 11, and the General Election is November 3, 2026.
