University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle women’s basketball player Isieoma Odor (Sr., Bloomington) was named NSIC North Division Player of the Week this week.
Odor is a second-time honoree, earning the award in January of 2017. She joined Erin Norling of Wayne State College (Neb.) as the first two recipients of the NSIC Player of the Week honor for the 2018-19 season.
Odor averaged a double-double of 17.5 points and 14.0 rebounds for the Golden Eagles as they swept their opening weekend with wins over the University of Nebraska Kearney and Northwest Missouri State University. Odor shot 13-of-23 from the field for 56.5 percent. She was 9-of-11 from the charity stripe for 81.8 percent. In addition, she chipped in four assists and four blocks. Odor tallied a double-double in both games with 16 points and 10 boards in the win over Nebraska Kearney and 19 points and 18 rebounds in the win over Northwest Missouri State. Against the Bearcats, Odor shot 8-of-13 from the field for 61.5 percent.
Odor and the Golden Eagles continue non-conference play as they take on Mayville State University Sat., Nov. 17 at Lysaker Gymnasium in Crookston.
