Pirate Boys Soccer Hands Out Awards

The Crookston Pirates Boys’ Soccer team celebrated the 2018 season with an end of the year banquet at the Crookston High School Commons.
The Pirates honored their All-Conference honorees while reflecting on their recently concluded 2018 campaign. Senior captain Dilon Owens was named 1st Team All-Conference for Crookston. Juniors Jacob Brunelle and Ben Andringa both earned an all-conference honorable mention. After a slow start to the season, Crookston showed improvement as the season progressed with a 6-0 win over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, a 2-1 win over Detroit Lakes, a 2-1 win over Hibbing, and another 2-0 win over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley.
The Pirates ended their season with a 4-11-2 record and a first-round loss in the Section 8A Tournament 4-3 against East Grand Forks.
