PIRATE GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS BREAKDOWN AND WINS DIVISION AT PACESETTER

The Crookston Pirate Girls Basketball team continued their outstanding summer tournament run with a championship and a division championship after playing in two tournaments in the past week. 

The first tournament was the Pacesetter MIT tournament and the Pirates finished third place in their division in the round-robin portion of the tournament (behind New London Spicer and Waconia) and competed in the Division II tournament and beat Esko 33-29.  In the second round, Crookston beat Menahga 49-41 in the championship. 

The second tournament was a Breakdown tournament in Perham and Crookston went 3-0 and won the championship.  The Pirates beat Kindred 46-13 in the first round.  In the second round, they beat Menahga 38-26 and in the championship, they beat Browerville 53-28.
