POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETS YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD

Earlier this year the Polk County Board of Commissioner’s approved the formation of a Youth Advisory Board (YAB) as part of Polk County Public Health. The YAB will provide an opportunity for young people in Polk County to become involved in governmental public health services, merging civic engagement and leadership development, for high school students. By engaging youth, we will bring new energy, information, and knowledge into our mission-based work.
At today’s meeting, the Polk County Board of Commissioner’s appointed students across Polk County to serve a two-year term on the Youth Advisory Board.
