POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. in the Board Room at the Polk County Government Center.  The consent agenda includes the approval of auditor warrants, approval of a payment to Kinetic Leasing of Fargo, ND in the amount of $32,292.21 for Komptech Crambo 6000 Equipment Lease for the landfill, approval of payment to Amy Van Den Einde, Public Health in the amount of $921.90 for flight expenses for a Contraceptive Technology Conference in Washington, DC, approval of payment to Kim Kron of East Bethel, MN in the amount of $351.48 for round trip mileage incurred by witness for the County Attorney’s Office.

The County Board Members Issue Forum has one topic, an appointee request for the City of Fertile Airport Joint Powers Board. 

The first session of department head presentations will begin with Sheriff Jim Tadman providing an amended vehicle quote for 2019 fleet purchase.  County Administrator Chuck Whiting will then present an implementation of Process Evaluation Recommendations – Services Agreement with Abdo, Eick & Meyer, an office space lease at County East Grand Forks Building with Northwest Mental Health Center, Inc., and request approval of pay equity report.  Richard Sanders will make the following presentations on the behalf of the Highway Department, for a new or low hour used motor grader, a resolution (2019-8) revoking CSAH 3 from CSAH 6 to the Polk-Clearwater Line, a resolution (2019-9) designating CSAH 3 from CSAH 30 to the Polk-Clearwater Line, a crossing surface installation agreement, and on a county land surveyor.  Scot Sosalla from Ari Architects will then be on hand for the bid award for an office remodeling project for the East Grand Forks Human Service Center Building.

Following a break, the commissioners will hear from Jake Snyder – Planning and Zoning for two resolutions, a conditional use permit for Brian Peterson to construct a new accessory structure for Total Sq. Footage over 4,000 Sq. Ft. on a six-acre parcel (2019-6), and interim use permit for PCI Roads LLC to Operate a Concrete Mixing Plants (2019-7).  Environment Services Director Jon Steiner will present on office furniture for the Polk County Transfer Station, Change Orders for the Transfer Station, on Tour Communication Equipment and provide project updates.  The meeting will conclude with Michelle Cote, Property Records, requesting signing authority for Sam Melbye in the Taxpayer Service Center, a request for extension committee appointments and an Archive Module Service Contract totaling $21,600.00.
