The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room at the Polk County Government Center. The consent agenda includes approving the warrants and sign audit list, approving the May 7 minutes and approving the following payments; $12,112.70 to Card Member Services of St. Louis, MO, $731.96 to Hewlett Packard Inc. of Boston, MA, $2,055.04 to Hewlett Packard Inc., $395.51 to Nardini Fire Equipment Co. Inc. of Fargo, ND, and $45.00 to Debra LaFonatine of Shoreview, MN.
Polk County Public Health Director Sarah Reese will announce the Public Health Champions to the board. Michelle Cote, director of Property Records will present a local option tax abatement correction and the Polk County Abatement Policy. She will also present two gambling permit resolutions, for the Mentor Firefighters Relief Association of Mentor, and for the North Country Horseman.
April Swenby, Sandhill Watershed District, will present the board with three resolutions for the 2020 General Tax Levy as petition 1, 2, and 3. Social Services Director Peter Sedgeman will ask to fill a position recently vacated due to a resignation and Facilities Director Mark Dietz will provide an update on the Polk County Government Center elevator. Polk County Administrator Chuck Whiting will also present the procurement card and purchasing policy options prepared by Abdo-Eick-Meyer.
