POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY MORNING

The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, May 28 at 8:00 a.m. in the commissioner’s room at the Polk County Government Center.  Their consent agenda includes approving the May 21 minutes, approving payment of $1,887.00 to GHA Technologies Inc. of Phoenix, AZ, and approving payment of $5,341.50 to Sarah Reese, Public Health for six FP Contra Nexplanon for the Public Health Department.

The main agenda will begin with the monthly report from Sheriff Jim Tadman who will also present a donation from East Grand Forks Volunteer Fireman’s Associations. Polk County Attorney Greg Widseth will accept a donation on behalf of Polk County Coordinated Victim Services.  Rachel Klein from East Polk Soil and Water Conservation District will provide a district update as well as a feedlot program annual report.

Planning and Zoning Administration Jake Snyder will present the City of Fertile Airport Ordinance and Maps.  Property Records Director Michelle Cote will present a resolution to update the county delegates to MCIS and MCCC.  County Administrator Chuck Whiting will ask the board to assign voting credentials to Richard Sanders at the National Association of Counties conference.  He will also present a proposed meeting time change for the third Wednesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Following a short break, Sanders will present the board a cooperative agreement between the county, Andover, and Fanny Townships to replace a bridge. He will also present a Motor Grader rental for the East Grand Forks shop and a County Ditch Maintenance request for county ditch 120 in section 12 of Roome Township where the landowner, Kevin Lien, would like to add an approach to the ditch.
