POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET TUESDAY

The Polk County Commissioners will meet at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 15 in the Commissioner’s Room at the Polk County Government Center.  The consent agenda includes approving Commissioner Warrants and sign audit list and approve payment Card Member Service, St. Louis, MO in the amount of $16,497.31 for credit card purchases.  The board will also review their committee appointments.
Department head presentations are scheduled to begin at 10:25 a.m. with Peter Sedgemen, director of Social Services, requesting to refill positions recently vacated due to retirements.  He will also seek contract approves with Northwest Mental Health and The Village Family Service Center.  Nicole Bernd, West Polk Soil and Water Conservation District will seek approval for Wild Rice-Marsh One Watershed One Plan memorandum of understanding.  Rachel Klein, East Polk Soil and Water Conservation District, will provide a district update. 
Richard Sanders, Highway Department, will present the Crossing Surface Installation Agreement, and on the Tandem Axle Diesel Truck Equipment.  He will also present a Safety Compliance Service contract and present an out-of-state travel request.  Sebastian Sullivan, Management Information Systems, is requesting approval to purchase licenses for Windows 10.  Sarah Reese, Public Health, will present an out-of-state travel request and Chuck Whiting, Administrator, will present the Polk County Highway Engineer appointment term.
