POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET TUESDAY

The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Room at the Polk County Government Center.  The consent agenda for the meeting includes the approval of the Commissioner Warrants and signing the Audit List, approval of payment to Card Member Services, St. Louis, MO in the amount of $11,524.52 for credit card purchase, approval of payment for Lost Warrant No. 520578 dated December 21, 2018 issued to Unique Security, Inc. in the amount of $1,621.88, approval of payment for Lost Warrant No. 520339 dated December 21, 2018 issued to Acme Tools in the amount of $388.15, approve payment to Brad Driscoll, Highway Department in the amount of $246.14 for parts, approve payment to HP Inc., Boston, MA, in the amount of $800.00 for computer office equipment for the Facilities Department. 

The Regular Agenda will consist of a public hearing to review Housing Incentive Property Tax Abatements.  The hearing will conclude with the board considering a resolution (2019-10) for proposed abatements in the City of Crookston and City of East Grand Forks. 

Sam Melbye and Ron Denison will make a County Ditch Levy Request for 2019.  Wayne Sandberg, Washington County Engineer, will make a presentation titled MCEA Matters.  Richard Sanders will present resolution (2019-11) for County State Aid Highway 10 Variance for back-in parking along the East Shore of Maple Lake, a certificate of performance for CSAH 41 with the final total value of the work being $2,216,317.73, a memorandum of understanding to remove the old bridge when the Nielsville bridge gets replaced.  Peter Sedgmen from Social Services will present a contract with Northwest Mental Health Center for $854,278.00 and two Licensing Fee Policy updates, one for Child Care and the other for Foster Care.  Polk County Administrator Chuck Whiting will present a one year extension of the Public Defenders Lease of space in the Polk County Justice Center through June 30, 2020 and an update from the AMC Legislative Conference including H.F. 424 requiring the state to pay the Enbridge tax appeal refunds.
