POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET TUESDAY

The Polk County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Polk County Government Center.  The consent agenda includes the Commissioner Warrants and Sign Audit List, a payment to Card Member Services of St. Louis, MO for $19,704.56, a payment to Ye Ole Print Shoppe of Crookston for $203.00, and a payment to Shar Praska, ICS General Contractor from Grand Forks for $27,868.30.

The regular agenda includes an update from Jon Steiner on Environmental Services and the final payment of Landfill Cell #13 project, an update from the Department of Natural Resources, and a discussion and resolution on the draft zoning ordinance for the City of Fertile Airport. 

Polk County resident Travis Johnson will speak to the board regarding the county setback zoning code in the agricultural district.  And the board will be asked to approve the advertisement and filling of three positions, a .8 FTE Wellness Coordinator for Polk County Public Health, a fulltime Custodian I position for Facilities and the Director of Social Services.
