Filing for Polk County Offices will run May 19 through June 2. Several Polk County offices will be up for election in November.

There will also be some Soil and Water spots up for election.
District 2 includes parts of Crookston and East Grand Forks and is the southwest portion of the county and is currently represented by Warren Strandell. District 4 is the east side of the county and is currently represented by Jon Lee.
Polk County Sheriff James Tadman has announced he will be retiring at the end of the year and won’t seek reelection.
Sam Melbye, Polk County Records Director and Election Official, said they are open Monday through Friday during regular business hours, but will stay open later on June 2.
“We will stay open a little bit later on June 2nd to accept any extra filings,” said Melbye. “They can pick up filing packets at the taxpayer service center at the government center and any questions that they have concerning that we can answer while they’re here.”
