On August 31, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to 340th Ave SW near the intersection of 110th St SW, rural East Grand Forks, for a reported pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, 46-year-old Donald Howard of Oklee, was reportedly securing a load on a trailer when he was struck by the vehicle driven by 41-year-old Kristina Potucek of Warren. Donald was treated for injuries and transported to Altru in Grand Forks. At this time, the cause of the accident is being investigated, and there is no further information to release.
