Polk County Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) proudly presented the Irishman’s Shanty with a well-deserved traffic safety award on February 29, 2024.
Polk County TZD and Minnesota TZD aim to create a culture in which traffic fatalities and serious injuries are no longer acceptable through the integrated application of education, engineering, enforcement, and emergency medical and trauma services. These efforts are driven by local data, best practices, and research.
The Polk County TZD Coalition is thrilled to recognize the Irishman’s Shanty for their outstanding commitment to keeping our community safe! The Irishman’s Shanty is offering patrons 50% off an appetizer when they choose to leave their vehicle at the establishment and find a safe ride home after consuming alcohol. This establishment is leading by example in promoting responsible choices and preventing impaired driving.
A sincere thank you to the Irishman’s Shanty, owner Andy Gregg, and their incredible team for their innovative approach to promoting traffic safety and for their dedication to creating a safer environment for everyone on our roads. Congratulations on this well-award!
