RED LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE CALLS WEEKLY RECAP

The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office had a busy week with several calls, arrests, and citations.  The weekly recap is below – 

On 08/15/19, formal criminal complaints were filed, charging two Oklee residents with numerous crimes related to a burglary that occurred at a residence in Oklee back in April of 2019. Brenton Troy Gerholdt (34) and April Marie Kimbro (22) were both charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor theft, and misdemeanor property damage. Additionally, Gerholdt was charged with gross misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine. The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office was assisted with this investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force. Both Gerholdt and Kimbro will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls later this month.

On the evening of 08/17/19, Bradley James Johnson (23) of Chesterfield, MO was cited for speeding on Hwy. #59 near Plummer.

On the morning of 08/19/19, Jordan Joseph Ekerberg (23) of Fargo, ND was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 south of Red Lake Falls.

On the evening of 08/19/19, Red Lake County deputies arrested Shawn Pierre Belland II (30) of Viking, at a residence in Red Lake Falls. Red Lake County held an active warrant for his arrest. The misdemeanor warrant was for failing to appear on a theft charge.  Belland posted $100 cash bond to satisfy the warrant and he was released from custody. He will appear in Court in Red Lake Falls in September.

On the evening of 08/20/19, an adult female from Plummer contacted the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office and reported that she did not feel safe in her home. She feared her boyfriend may come to the residence and harm her. A Red Lake County deputy responded and discovered that no crime had been committed, but she was transported to Violence Intervention Project in Thief River Falls as a precaution.

On 08/21/19, Lorraine Romal Baity (57) of Mahnomen was cited for misdemeanor issuance of an NSF Check. The check was issued at Red Lake County Co-op in April of 2019.

On 08/21/19, Christopher Nelson (32) of Oslo was cited for misdemeanor issuance of an NSF Check. The check was issued at the Red Lake County Co-op in April of 2019.

On the morning of 08/22/19, Red Lake County law enforcement officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Brooks. Kimberly Joyce Auginash (35) of Brooks was arrested for violating the terms of her supervised probation. She was transported to the jail in Thief River Falls.

On the morning of 08/22/19, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft that occurred in Red Lake Falls Township. That report is still under investigation.
