The Red Lake County Rebel boys basketball team takes on Liberty Classical Academy of White Bear Lake in the first round of the State Class A Boys Basketball tournament at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m.
It is the second-ever state tournament appearance for Red Lake County and their second straight. Liberty Classical is making its first-ever state tournament appearance.
Red Lake County is 28-3 on the year after beating Stephen-Argyle in the Section 8A Championship 68-52. Liberty Classical is 27-2 after beating Heritage Christian Academy 72-56 in the Section 4A championship game.
