The Red Lake River in Crookston was at 24.42 feet at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday (May 1) and the National Weather Service predicts a crest late Monday morning or early Monday afternoon at 25 feet. The good news for Crookston and the entire Red River Valley is there isn’t any precipitation in the forecast next week with highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s.
The Crookston Emergency Operation Center (EOC) remains fully operational and is continuing to monitor river levels, levee systems, and future weather predictions.
The city is looking for volunteers to help walk the levees in town. If you are able to help, please call the EOC.
