Residents safe. Two cats and one dog die in Euclid house fire

On Saturday, January 11, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a residential structure fire in Euclid Township. 

The fire is believed to have originated with a wood stove located in the attached garage. When Deputies arrived, the garage was fully engulfed, and the fire had begun spreading to the attached house. The responding fire departments were able to fully extinguish the fire. The garage was a complete loss as well as the residence. 

The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The residents were safe, but two cats and one dog died in the fire.

Additional responding agencies included the Crookston Fire Department, Crookston Area Ambulance, Warren Fire Department, Warren Ambulance, and Red Lake Falls Fire Department. The Minnesota State Fire Marshall was notified.

No further information will be released at this time.
