RIVERLAND ASSOCIATION’S NORTHWEST MINNESOTA TOURISM CONFERENCE WILL BE APRIL 2

The Northwest Minnesota Tourism Conference, presented by Riverland Association, will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at the University of Minnesota Crookston. This one-day seminar is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Sargeant Student Center’s Bede Ballroom. It is titled “Experience it all in NW MN” and designed to provide tourism education in northwest Minnesota. A wide variety of sessions focusing on marketing, tourism development and digital trends will be presented.

Presentations include: “Filling Your Buckets: Creating the Life, Relationships and Community You Love” by Becca Cruger – Grand Forks Region Economic Development Center, “Learning the Analytical Ropes” by Tim Stuart – Stray Media Group, “Finding Your True North” by Dave Bergman – Explore Minnesota and “The 5 P’s of Marketing: How To Save Your Business From Wasting Money on Bad Marketing” by David Scott – Scott Digital Media.

The conference will also include a panel of business owners highlighting Northwestern Minnesota success stories and giving best practice tips. The panel will include: Rebecca Opdahl – Opdahl Donuts, Ryan & Lindsey Evenson – Revelation Ale Works and Carol Simmons – Real Good Bath & Body.

Anyone interested in attracting more people into their community, business or event are invited to the conference. The cost is $40 for members and $45 for non-members, which includes conference materials and lunch. The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 26.
