The RiverView Auxiliary is happily holding its annual Scrub Sale on Wednesday, February 8, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Auxiliary will host the Scrubs on Wheels store, named America’s Favorite Mobile Scrub Store, which will be parked in the north parking lot of RiverView Health.
The annual sale is hosted by RiverView twice a year, which stands apart from other events, sales, and fundraisers the RiverView Auxiliary usually holds. “What puts this aside and makes it so different from other events that we have is that this Scrub Sale, they arrive in a big truck and trailer. So, they will park in our North Employee Parking lot of RiverView Health on Wednesday, February 8, and be here from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.,” RiverView Patient Access Director Carrie Bergquist explained. “So, what you do is, you don’t go into RiverView at all, just look for the big white truck and trailer in the parking lot, where you can shop for brand name scrubs, shoes, stethoscopes, caps, masks, nursing bags and much more. There are two dressing rooms in the trailer, so you can try them before you buy. And if they don’t have something you want in stock, they will order it, and it will get shipped right to me at RiverView, and I will disseminate that once I get it.”
The store will have scrubs in all different colors, sizes, styles, and themes, such as long-sleeved, short-sleeved, and holiday-themed (Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter scrubs, etc.).
The store will also sell other items that go along with scrubs to help customers feel comfortable and authentic when they wear them at home. “Along with the scrubs, they have very comfy shoes that you can purchase. That shoe sale is a BOGO shoe sale where you buy one pair and then get the next pair 50% off,” Bergquist explained. “You can also buy caps to match your scrubs and any masking that you need, any nursing bags, scissors, badge reels, and compression socks. It’s not just scrubs that they sell. It’s everything that goes along with scrubs.”
The store accepts both cash and credit cards for purchases, with all sales made that day will be entered to win a grand prize of items from the sale and the Limited Addition Gift Shop. At the end of the sale, a portion of the sales will be given to the RiverView Auxiliary, which will be passed around to departments around RiverView to enhance patient care. The hospital also shared that the Scrubs Shop will be back at RiverView to sell their products again in the fall.
Along with this fundraiser, RiverView Auxiliary has other fundraisers and service projects planned for February, with their next big project being Giving Hearts Day on February 9. “The Auxiliary is always looking for service projects to complete. Our next service project is delivering the Crookston Home Delivered Meals from February 13 to 17,” Bergquist shared. “Our volunteers always look forward to that event. Then towards the end of the month, on February 24, we will have another blood drive here at RiverView.”
The RiverView Auxiliary’s Scrub Shop will be open on Wednesday, February 8, from 12:00-6:00 p.m. and will be parked in the north parking lot of RiverView Health.
