RIVERVIEW HEALTH OFFERS “A MATTER OF BALANCE” PROGRAM

If you have fallen in the past or restrict your activities because you are afraid of falling, register for RiverView Health’s free series of balance classes starting in September.  “A Matter of Balance’’ is a program helping participants improve balance, flexibility, and strength. Classes will be held each Wednesday for eight weeks, Sept. 11-Oct. 30, from 9-11 am, at the Golden Link Senior Center, 324 N. Main Street, Crookston.

Participants will learn to:

– View falls as controllable

– Set goals for increasing activity

– Make changes to reduce fall risks at home

– Exercise to increase strength and balance

Certified coaches Brittni Johnson, DPT, and Maddie Engelstad, MOTR/L, will lead the award-winning program.  The series is free, but class size is limited. For more information or to register, call RiverView Home Care at 281.9478.
