Scooter’s Coffee gets a visit from the Crookston Ambassadors

Not only does Scooter’s Coffee make a positive impact in Crookston, but it also makes a variety of drinks and snacks to satisfy the early morning, noon, and evening cravings of consumers. The Crookston Ambassadors scooted into the tall and narrow building to celebrate and honor the Scooter’s Coffee staff and success. They met with John & Angela Robertson, owners and operators of the Crookston location, to ask questions and learn about one of the most popular stops in town. The first question from the team was, “What is your most popular drink, or what do you recommend for customers who aren’t really certain of what they might like.” Robertson shared that Scooter’s Coffee’s go-to signature drink is Caramelicious, hands down. The wildly popular creation is simply a flavored latte offered hot, iced, or blended. “We have a specialty menu that comes out every 2-3 months. For example, in February, you will see the Red Velvet Cake Bites and Sweetheart Sweetheart Mocha. In March, we will feature the Lucky Leprechaun drink”, shared Robertson.

She went on to state that smoothies are most popular with younger consumers with the favorite flavors of Lil’ Smiley cotton candy and strawberry and lemonberry-ade. Furthermore, a kids’ pack is offered for $5.25.

Robertson drove home several times that the staff is always striving to get better and grow. “We really want customers to be satisfied. If something is not right, please come back around and let us know. We are all about customer service, and we really want the consumers to enjoy the product. We will customize the drink for you. If we ever get feedback that something isn’t right, we retrain our staff. It’s really important that we get it right.”

Scooter’s Coffee is known for its speedy drive-thru line, and the goal is to get the time down to three minutes from placing the order to leaving the parking lot. As the employees get more established, that goal will be easily met. The pastries are made from scratch in Omaha at Scooter’s Coffee headquarters. They are shipped fresh to Crookston, where they are prepared to perfection. They offer quite the variety of breakfast options which consist of everything bagel and waffle sandwiches, burritos, egg bites and cinnamon rolls to name a few.

Pictured here to congratulate and celebrate the Scooter’s Coffee crew left to right are Bobbie Torkelson (H&R Block), Tracy Kuchan (LeBlanc Realty), Randy Schoenborn (RiverView Health), Lindsey Erdman (Benedictine Living Community in Crookston), Robertson Family, Becky Kofoed (Sunrich Products), Lydia Stephens (Bremer Bank), Sherry Coauette (LeBlanc Realty), Mannix Norheim (Bremer Bank), and Keenan Devier (City of Crookston).
