The Section 8AA, 6A and 5A Boys Basketball Tournament games on Saturday have been postponed to Monday.
The Region 6A Executive Secretary, Chuch Everett, sent out the following email Friday afternoon-
As of noon today (latest forecast) most of our region is in a winter storm warning starting tomorrow and going all day Saturday. 5-8 inches of snow predicted for most of our schools.
The committee Chair and vice chair along with the region Secretary have postponed the games for Saturday, Mar 9. Safety is our first concern for all teams and fans.
All boys games on Saturday, Mar 9 have been postponed until Monday, Mar 11.
These games include-
5A boys Basketball at Pequot Lakes and Foley.
6A games at Concordia and Morris also postponed until Monday, March 11
8AA games scheduled at Concordia postponed until Monday, March 11.

Tuesday, March 12 is Township Election Day; no school-sponsored events between 6-8pm.
This winter’s regular season and now the postseason has been very challenging. We all know that. Tournament Managers and region committee have many things to take into consideration before making final decisions. These include weather, weather backup, venues, venue availability, workers, officials, schools, travel, and fairness. The revised schedule will be posted on the website as to Monday Wednesday Friday Schedule. We ask for your cooperation and understanding as we all carry out our roles in this process: coaches coaching, Activities Directors administering, and Region 6A managing the tournaments.
