Kindergarten through sixth-grade students from Our Savior’s Lutheran School in Crookston spent Wednesday morning cleaning up our community. As part of an annual service event, the students, teachers, and parents pick up litter throughout Crookston. The morning culminates with a picnic lunch sponsored by the school’s parent-teacher group.

Otter Tail Power Company will be having an emergency planned power outage starting at 6:00 p.m. tonight (May 4) in parts of Crookston after an equipment failure this morning. The area affected will be the Groveland, Memorial Drive, Golf Terrace, 6th Street, and 7th Street areas of Crookston. The outage will hopefully last no more
A turkey was wandering through the north part of the Woods Addition mid-morning on Friday. Minnesota is in the second of six spring turkey hunting periods which may have led the turkey into a residential area.
Polk County, and likewise, much of northwestern Minnesota is seeing another uptick in COVID-19 cases. Polk County has seen more than 140 new confirmed cases in April.
