The Crookston High School held a Halloween Costume Parade and Contest this morning before classes began at 8:25. Participants checked in and walked around the High School as classmates watched and some teachers judged the costumes. The Crookston 12U B Girls Hockey team received a send-off at the Crookston Sports Center this morning from all of their friends, families, and supporters to the Minnesota State Girls 12U B Hockey Tournament in Virginia. The Crookston 12U B team finished second place at the West Region tournament this weekend in Monticello and advanced to the state tournament. Crookston beat Brainerd/Little Falls in the first round 6-2. Crookston beat North Wright County Red 6-5 in the second round. In the third round (winner is champion), Alexandria beat Crookston 5-1.
The Crookston 12U Girls Hockey team recently won the District 16 12U B Girls Hockey tournament that was held in Crookston.
