On Monday, May 18, at 2:08 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash along 340th Ave SW near the intersection of 120th St SW in Euclid.
A Good Samaritan called 911 after stopping to check on the driver of a vehicle that appeared to have driven off the road and found them to be unresponsive. Deputies arrived on the scene, along with East Grand Forks Fire Department and Crookston Area Ambulance and initiated lifesaving measures.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 65-year-old Dale Jensen of Roseau, MN. Jensen was pronounced deceased at the scene. Jensen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
Jensen was transported to the University of North Dakota Forensic Pathology for further investigation. Assisting agencies were the Minnesota State Patrol, Crookston Area Ambulance, and East Grand Forks Fire Department.
