AMERICAN CRYSTAL SUGAR SETS LOCAL SUGAR BEET HARVEST RECORD

The numbers are in, and this year’s sugar beet harvest was record-setting for American Crystal Sugar. After a dry start to the season, a little rain and a warm September set the stage for the record harvest. There were 12.7 million tons of sugar beets harvested, which beat the previous record of 12.1 million tons.
