HOLIDAY LIGHTS GO UP AT MAIN STREET COURTYARD WITH HELP OF CROOKSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

Crookston firefighters Chris Klawitter, Bob Magsam and Garett Bengtson used the ladder truck to hang lights Thursday morning from the evergreen tree downtown in the Main Street Courtyard space. They’re assisting the Crookston Rotary Club, who acquired lights during Otter Tail Power Company’s Holiday Light Exchange, to help spread Christmas/Holiday cheer.

CITY COUNCIL APPROVES STREET IMPROVEMENTS, LIGHTING PROJECTS FOR CITY FACILITIES

The Crookston City Council held a variety of public hearings during their meeting on Friday night.  Seven public hearings were held for proposed street improvements and one for unpaid code enforcement and utility charges.  Public hearings were also continued from July 23 franchise fee agreements with Otter Tail Power Company and Red Lake Electric Cooperative.

CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL, WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO HOLD MEETINGS MONDAY

The Crookston Ways & Means Committee will hold a closed meeting Monday, November 25 at 6:00 p.m. for negotiations in the conference room at City Hall.  That will be followed by the City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers and the regularly scheduled Ways & Means Committee meeting immediately following City Council.
