UPDATE 8-26-19 11:48 a.m. On Friday, August 23 at approximately 11:47 p.m. Polk County deputies responded to a report of an assault at 29631 420th Ave SE, Gonvick. Upon arrival, Jonathon Neil Sundquist (9-2-67) from rural Gonvick was found to be deceased. The MN BCA is also assisting with the investigation. This investigation is ongoing
The Crookston Fire Department was called to a house fire on North Front Street on Saturday night. There was a lot of smoke and several fire trucks responded to the fire. On Thursday, August 22, at approximately 1:12 p.m., Polk County deputies responded to the area near the bridge west of Neilsville on 440th St. SW. A male was located deceased. No criminal activity or risk to the public are suspected. No further information is being released at this time.
