The Crookston High School Speech team had two placers at the Minnesota State High School League State Speech competition this past weekend. Crookston seniors, Samantha Rezac finished second place in Storytelling, and Zara Baig finished fourth in Humorous Interpretation. Brandon Wandrie competed in Original Oratory, and Zachariah Plante competed in Humorous Interpretation.
The Crookston High School three-act play The Scarlet Letter” will be performed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Crookston High School auditorium. On Saturday, March 4, the Crookston High School Speech team competed at the 51st Chuck Beckman Memorial at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. Crookston was one of 29 schools competing at the tournament, and multiple students brought home awards.
