THE CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL AND WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE WILL MEET ON MONDAY

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers.

The meeting will begin with public hearings regarding the city street improvements for 2024. There will be public hearings for the following projects-

Houston Avenue Reconstruction from Hunter Street to South Ash Street

Euclid Avenue reconstruction from Guthrie Street to McKinley Boulevard

Agricultural Road Extension approximately 1,100 feet to the south of the existing road

North Broadway bituminous mill and overlay from Sixth Avenue Northwest to Fisher Avenue

Third Avenue Southwest Bituminous reclaim/milling and Paving from Old Trunk Highway 75 to Bruce Street

The old bus garage building located at 115 East 4th Street

The agenda will include the resolution approving the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement with the city of Crookston on behalf of its city attorney and police department. The agenda will also include the resolution regarding the Master Subscriber Agreement for Minnesota Court Data Services for Governmental Agencies. The final item on the agenda will be the resolution regarding the Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) loan request of L & C Stahlecker & Sons, LLC, doing business as Crookston Inn and Convention Center.

The consent agenda will include the approval of minutes from the January 22 council meeting. It will also include the approval of bills and disbursement in the amount of $479,521.69. It will also include the resolutions regarding approving license renewals for Gas Fitter and Cement Mason in 2024 and appointing Election Judges for the Presidential Primary Election in 2024. The final item on the consent agenda will be the resolution to call for a public hearing for citizen input regarding the Small Cities Grant application.

The Ways and Means Committee will have a closed meeting following the city council. The committee will discuss potential land acquisition. This information is confidential at this time.
