The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for portions of northwest, north-central, and central Minnesota until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23. A watch means that conditions are right for a possible tornado.
The counties included in the watch are Polk, Red Lake, Norman, Mahnomen, Clearwater, Becker, Big Stone, Chippewa, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Lac Qui Parle, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Traverse, Wadena, Wilkin, and Yellow Medicine. The watch also includes several North Dakota counties including Grand Forks County.
