Tracey K. Berhow – Obit

Tracey K. Berhow, 29, Winger, MN, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and niece, was called to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Tracey passed away peacefully at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND, surrounded by her loving family.

Tracey K. Berhow was born on May 26, 1991, to Randy and Wanda Berhow in Crookston, MN.

Tracey lived a very vibrant life and was surrounded by close family and lots of love as she grew up. She spent many days playing with her siblings and cousins. Tracey had a very special bond with her twin, and growing up she and Lacey delighted in running in separate directions and causing mischief and shenanigans. She was a very devoted mother, and her kids were her absolute world. She was an extraordinary animal lover, and her dog Cleo held a very special place in her heart. Tracey had a calling for helping others, and that showed more than ever while she was taking care of her residents while working at area nursing homes. She could warm any heart with her beautiful smile and laughter. She was the most selfless person and was always putting others’ needs before her own. Tracey also had a very close group of friends growing up.

She is survived by her father, Randy Berhow of Fertile; step-father, Ken Leiser of Fertile; her children, Courtney Winand (8), Nevaeh Fritsch (4), and Tracen Fritsch (3); the children’s fathers, Art Rocha of Crookston, and Rueben Fritsch of Winger; brothers, Travis (Mariah), of McIntosh, and Max, of Fertile; sisters, Alicia (Mike) of Crookston, and Lacey of Fertile, and Jessica (Ben) Horgeshimer and their children, Isiah, Gabe and Isabel of Crookston; nephews, Austin, Mason and Tristen; aunts and uncles, Debbie Berhow of Fertile, Carline Berhow of Fertile, Kevin (Diane) Berhow of Fertile, Rob (Barb) Rolland of Crookston, Debbie Rolland of Fertile, Darlene (Kevin) Solie of Fertile, and  Brenda (Matt) Hulst of St. Cloud, and many cousins and friends.

Tracey is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Leiser; grandparents, Sylvia and Bob Rolland, and Bud and Corrine Berhow; grandma, Joyce Bestul; uncle, Wayne Berhow; and cousin, Cody Hulst.

Funeral: 11:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN, following all of the Minnesota and CDC COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and with a limited attendance of 100. All must wear a mask to attend. The service will be recorded on the United in Christ Parish YouTube channel.

Visitation: A walk-through visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday morning and continue until the time of the funeral.
