On September 4, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Polk County Deputies initiated a traffic stop approximately three miles south of Fosston on Polk County Road 6 resulting in the arrest of Cohen James Curfman, 27-year-old from Fosston, for meth possession and DWI. Also arrested for meth possession were Alicia Jill Muth, 31 of Becker, and Jorden Anthony Shea, 28-year-old from Princeton.
Further investigation conducted by the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 43988 340th Ave SE, Cohen Curfman’s residence. Investigators found all the active ingredients for a one-pot style methamphetamine lab and an old one-pot style lab in residence.
Investigators with the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force/Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office/Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force safely dismantled the lab.
Complaints filed in Polk County District Court as follows:
Cohen James Curfman – 1st Degree Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Attempted 1st Degree Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors with Intent to Manufacture, 2 counts of Felony Controlled Substance Crime in the 5th Degree – Possession, and 4th Degree DWI.
Alicia Jill Muth – Felony Controlled Substance Crime in the 5th Degree – Possession and Giving a False Name to a Peace Officer.
Jorden Anthony Shea – Felony Controlled Substance Crime in the 5th Degree.
