On Friday, December 6 the East Grand Forks Police Department along with the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force served a search warrant on a residence in the 600-block of 10th St NW in East Grand Forks.  Once officers made entry into the residence, two suspects became barricaded in the basement.  One suspect stated that he had a firearm and refused officers’ commands to come out of the basement.  Officers negotiated with both suspects and they eventually surrendered without incident.

They were arrested on controlled substance and firearm charges.  Formal charges will be announced Monday, December 9.  Both individuals were transported to NWRCC in Crookston to await formal charges.
