UMC IS HOSTING SMALL BUSINESS TRAINING COURSES LATER IN MAY

The Northwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is putting on a free training event with hopes of guiding and educating small business owners to help them better understand how to start a business.

The Northwest Minnesota SBDC and East Grand Forks EDA are hosting three events in May that will focus on how to start a business. Topics will highlight the state of the global supply chain, what business owners can anticipate over the next 12 months, and what they can learn about new methods that can be used to mitigate risk exposure to an evolving global situation.

To better accommodate our audience, there will be three options for in-person attendance:

  • Wednesday, May 11, Thief River Falls 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, May 20, Crookston, 12:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 25, East Grand Forks, 12:00 p.m.

“Every year, thousands of entrepreneurs start their own small businesses, from tech startups to clothing designers and tutoring services, to name a few.  Starting a business, to many, sounds risky, but the pitfalls of a small business startup can be avoided if you have the right approach,” said Christine Anderson, Northwest Minnesota Small Business Development Center Consultant.

For more information, contact Christine Anderson at canders@crk.umn.edu or 218-281-8318 and to register, go to: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/nwmfoundation/event/849265/.
