The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Golden Eagle men’s golf team finished sixth place out of six teams at the two-day Augustana Invite played at the Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
UMC shot a two-round total of 635, with a 317 on Saturday and a 318 on Sunday. The University of Sioux Falls won the tournament with a score of 591, edging Augustana by six strokes. Sioux Falls’ Jacob Zosel was the medalist with a 146.
The Golden Eagles were led by Connor Humble (Jr., Rosemount) with a 156, good for a 21st place finish.
Keegan Poppenberg (Fr., Esko) shot a 158, Ben Trostad (Soph., Crookston,) finished with a 160. Brian Bekkala (Jr., Livonia, Mich.) turned in a 163, and Dillon Sannes (Jr., Fertile) shot a 172.
Josh Olson (Fr., Roseau) golfed unattached and shot a 163 and Jonathan Lund (Sr., Tolna, N.D.) shot a 173.
UMC wraps up the fall season October 7 and 8 at the Holiday Inn Express Classic in St. Joseph, Missouri.
