The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) volleyball program hosted three camps on campus this summer with the Little Eagles Camps, Golden Eagles camps and Individual Skills Camps. The Crookston camp had 40 campers overall. In addition, UMC has already hosted a satellite camp at Fertile-Beltrami High School and will host a camp at Clear Like High School in Clear Lake, Wisconsin next week. “We are very pleased with the turnout and success of our first summer of volleyball camps,” said Head Coach Sarah Rauen. “We really enjoyed working with the local players of Crookston and the surrounding areas, as well as campers from all around the Midwest. We look forward to seeing our campers in the stands at our games and hosting future camps.”
The Golden Eagles had campers from all over Minnesota, as well as Wisconsin, Iowa and Indiana. Campers each received a UMC volleyball bag and water bottle.
UMC will open practice for the 2017 season on Monday, August 14 at Lysaker Gymnasium. The Golden Eagles will open the season at the South Central Classic, hosted by Southeastern Oklahoma State University, September 1-2 at Bloomer Sullivan Arena in Durant, Oklahoma.
