UMC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL GETS VERBAL COMMITMENT FROM MOOSE-LAKE/WILLOW RIVER STAR

The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Women’s Basketball team has received a verbal commitment from Natalie Mikrot of Moose Lake/Willow River high school.  Mikrot received a scholarship offer from UMC in late July and made the decision to be a Golden Eagle after graduation.  She will be a senior this upcoming school year and is the Moose Lake/Willow River boys and girls basketball all-time leading scorer with 1,848 points, which she hit in a game against Cook County in March.

Mikrot is a 5’9 guard that has been named to the Polar all-conference team since her eighth-grade year and also plays volleyball and softball.
UMC Coach Mike Roysland cannot comment until Mikrot signs a letter of intent.
