UMC WOMEN’S SOCCER IS SHUTOUT 5-0 BY #6 RANKED BEMIDJI STATE IN SEASON FINALE FOR GOLDEN EAGLES

The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Women’s Soccer squad problems offensively all season concluded with their season finale as the Bemidji State Beavers, the number one team in the Northern Sun Conference and ranked sixth in NCAA Division II shut out UMC 5-0 in Bemidji today. Five difference players scored for Bemidji while UMC managed two shots in the game and one of them on goal. The Golden Eagles lost their last 14 matches of the season to finish 1-17 on the year and 1-13 in the conference. UMC scored just six goals in the 18 matches, three by Morgan Laplante (Jr-De Soto, Kansas), two by Abby Fettinger (Fresh-White Bear Lake) and Lanie Padelford (Fresh-Mahtomedi) has the other goal. It was senior day for the volleyball team and UMC honored their three seniors, Hannah and Leah Macias (West Covina, CA) and Gabriel Pinto (Beaverton, Oregon). Bemidji State ends their regular season with a 16-0-2 regular season mark and 13-0-2 in the conference and they will be the number one seed heading into the NSIC Tournament that starts on Wednesday and they will have a home match.
