SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE SCORES THREE TIMES IN THE SECOND HALF TO BEAT UMC 4-1

Southwest Minnesota State University scored early in the second half to make it a 2-0 lead over the University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Golden Eagles Women’s Soccer team. Just about four minutes later UMC’s Morgan Laplante (Jr-De Soto, Kansas) scored to pull the Golden Eagles within 2-1. It went that way until under a minute to go and Southwest Minnesota State’s Alex Lotts scored the clincher and the Mustangs defeated UMC 4-1 this afternoon in Crookston. For UMC, it was their 10th loss in a row and they fall to 1-13 overall and 1-10 in the Northern Sun Conference. Southwest Minnesota State is 4-9-1 on the year and 3-8-1 in the conference. UMC will host Minot State on Friday afternoon. is coming off a ??? loss to the University of Sioux Falls on Friday in Crookston.
