UMC Takes 17th At Southwest Minnesota State Invite

The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) women’s golf team finished last in the field of seventeen teams with a team score of 750 in the Ramada Mustang Invite played at Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, MN. Central Missouri won the tournament by nine strokes with a team score of 604, beating Augustana and Minnesota State which tied for second. Olivia Sobaski (Sedalia, MO) was the medalist with a two-day total of 144, finishing one stroke ahead of teammate Elizabeth Leath (Chesterfield, MO) for the winning team.
Minnesota Crookston was led by Allison Bot (Jr., Minneota) who shot a second-round 90 after opening with an 88 finishing in a tie for 78th. McKenzie Harris (Sr., Nevis) improved by five-strokes in her second round shooting an 87, UMC’s best of the tournament for a tie at 83rdplace. Anna Olson (Soph., Fertile) carded a 93 on Sunday, dropping three-strokes of her Saturday round finishing in a tied for 93rdplace. Camryn Larson (Fr., Fertile) shot a 203 over two days for 100thplace in the field while Kimi Konishi (Fr., Cypress, CA), making her collegiate debut, finished with 236 strokes over the course of the tournament for 102ndplace.
The Golden Eagles return to the links on Saturday, September 29 for the two-day Augustana University Invite hosted at Bakker Crossing in Sioux Falls, SD.
