Multiple Veteran’s Day Events are happening on Monday, November 11, in Crookston and the surrounding area. We have been putting a list together to ensure we cover as many of them as possible. Here are those events.
On Monday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Fisher American Legion will serve Chicken Salad or Chicken Hot Dish Served with Bread, Dessert, and coffee. The cost per meal is $8, and Veterans eat FREE. Dine-in or Take-Out will be held in the American Legion Club Room in Fisher, MN. Everyone is Welcome!
The Golden Link will honor veterans with a Veteran’s Day Program & Lunch on Monday, November 11. Stop in the Golden Link Senior Center Community Room for a Wreath Ceremony presented by the Crookston Veterans Council Organizations at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served following the Wreath Ceremony for veterans, one guest, and widows and widowers of veterans. Lunch tickets will be handed out to the Veterans and their guest, widows, and widowers at the beginning of the program.
The Crookston National Honor Society will present a Veteran’s Day Program on Monday, November 11, at 2:45 p.m. The program will be held in the Crookston High School Gymnasium and is open to the public, especially Veterans. All Veterans are welcome to a social after the program in the High School Commons.
Join the University of Minnesota Crookston for their Veterans Day Program on November 11. There will be a social at 6:00 p.m. in the Kiehle Rotunda with light hors d’oeuvres and a program and concert at 7:00 p.m. in the Kiehle Auditorium. The U of M Crookston Choir and Concert Band will provide music led by Professors George French and T J Chapman. The University of Minnesota Crookston will also have a Color Guard Ceremony, presentations by a White Earth Tribal Nations military veteran and Honor Flight Program representatives, and the Missing Man’s Table.
