WEATHER HAS SLOWED CONSTRUCTION OF SUBWAY IN CROOKSTON

Work on the Subway Restaurant in Crookston has ground to a halt over the past few weeks due to extreme cold, high winds, and snow.  “The only update is that due to the weather we’re a couple of weeks behind schedule,” said owner Neil Ebeling.  “They think that we’re going to be able to catch up quickly on it.  I’m still feeling like the end of May beginning of June is going to be our time.”

The construction of the building was slowed a little bit earlier in the project when they found buried building materials from a building predating the former gas station on the lot.  “They found another old building where someone must have buried some old building materials before the gas station,” said Ebeling.  “We had to bury out some junk that somebody had buried it in that lot, so that was pretty fun.  That cost us a little bit of time, but not too much.”
