The first annual Ox Cart Days Taste of Crookston, sponsored by Northern Sky Bank, was a resounding success on Monday night. There were 22 businesses/organizations serving food at the Crookston Eagles Club while Tim Eggebraaten entertained the crowd with his music and a little bit of comedy too. The Eagles main hall was packed and the overflow crowd went to the bar and backroom all evening. The event raised around $2,500 for the Ox Cart Days Festival. The crowd had a chance to vote for their favorite food and Minakwa Golf Course/Kitchen at the Kwa’s sliders and chips was the top vote-getter even though they ran out of sliders with 100 people going through in the first 25 minutes.
